Issara
“A tribute to lovers of freedom and independence. A fabulous fougere evoking fresh summer mornings, lush green fields, invigorating breezes and a free spirit.”
‘Issara’ is the softest fragrance of the entire house. It’s green, aromatic with delicate notes of oakmoss, vetiver, sweet tobacco and clean musk with a woody/mossy vibe. The pine needles aren’t thorny, if they had a physical form they’d be soft and rub against your skin like a green feather boa. This sweet pine sap, shrouds the secrets of the forest. The tobacco note isn’t smoky, ashy nor carcinogenic, it’s fresh pipe tobacco. This loose tobacco has not yet been burned and is still slightly moist to the touch, giving off its fermented prune/sweet-rich-liqueur aroma. There’s a distant but delicious licorice note, which must be the coumarin, as it gives a hay-like, vanilla-almond gourmand sweetness. This almost reminds me of a more sophisticated ‘Infusion d’Iris Cedre’ due to its green aromatic, fresh cleanliness.
‘Issara’ encapsulates a fantasy forest of secluded privacy, where you can frolic in the nude and only the deer will see. It’s a fantastic fougere, if a little shy, as it speaks to me in whispers, before it fades into the breeze of free spirit.
