Indus
‘Indus’ starts with a mouth-wateringly sour opening from the blackcurrant buds (a similar opening to the blackcurrant in ‘Damask’). It instantly awakens your senses; a waft of this could arouse the snooziest of people. The blackcurrant buds proudly project their bitter aromatic citrus scent for the first 5 minutes solid. There is a squeeze of juicy lychee with a small sprinkling of nutmeg, but the tart blackcurrant buds overshadow these.
The Persian rose with its transparently sweet veil of rosy citrus-spice, drapes itself through the remainder of the scent. The base of Chinese patchouli, Armenian plum, incense and musk aren’t heavily grounded enough to anchor this fragrance from lifting up-up and away into the atmosphere. Its elevating feel is heightened still, by its crisp, cool, airy, electrically-charged, ozonic feel.
‘Indus’ is a perky little, spirited scent, full of zest and zeal.
