The New Paradise

“Mmmmmmm” was my initial reaction to spraying ‘The New Paradise’ as it’s so mesmeric and delicious. I love a good fig scent and this smells sweetly sun-ripened.

Ramon Monegal’s interpretation of paradise is quite simply PARADISE. “Combining in perfect harmony the pure pleasure of the senses, flowers, fruits, woods and roots, like an allegorical nectar of optimism and well-being”.

Quite soon after the world’s most delicious opening, there follows an underlining vanillic sweetness (possibly from the musk) that threatens to come through the entire time, becoming ever more sickly. This saccharine sweet base turns the scent in the Johnsons & Johnsons baby product direction. The oakmoss adds a herbaceous quality to the now too sweet fruitiness.

Sadly the fig overripened and fermented.
