Rasasi - Mukhallat Al Oudh
I've done a complete change of opinion with this fascinating fragrance. After initially not being able to get on with Rasasi's ‘Mukhallat Al Oudh’, I gave it to my mum and she subsequently smelt amazing. Over the next few months I became enamoured with her tantalising trail and thought it time to retry it again myself.
The harmonious blend is so perfect that no single note is detectable alone, it all just works together as a symphony of perfection, becoming a new unique scent in its own right. It’s carnal, musky, sexy but without being dark or smoky as it remains clean and almost soapy smelling. It's what I would imagine the freshly washed clothes of a classy seductress like Dita Von Tease to smell like. It has a dangerously alluring, burgundy-red blood note that’s delectable and mouth-watering - it must be akin to what humans smell like to vampires. The quality, projection and silage is exceptional and it’s up there with the likes of Amouage (an Arabian fragrance house of superb quality).
It's a concentrated 20ml perfume oil, so it thrives and shouts from your pulse points to synchronise with your body heat and life-force.
Sometimes you need the right time, conditions, maturity, circumstances or state of mind to fully appreciate a fragrance. The moment for me to embrace Rasasi's 'Mukhallat Al Oudh' (for the second try) almost made it my signature.
