Rasasi - Afshan
After reading other reviews about Rasasi’s ‘Afshan’, I was excited about the promise of it smelling like a mix between “a fresher Amouage ‘Gold’, Chanel ‘No.5' and a bar of Dove soap” - that combo is everything I ask for in life as I adore soapy florientals. So I can officially announce (drumroll)… that it’s no ‘No.5’ (that’s probably the aldehydes which aren’t mentioned as a note) which people are picking up on. It’s more like Dove soap, so works well with my Dove deodorant. It does remind me of a budget version of Xeroff’s ‘Pikovaya Dama’ but much less refined/luxurious.
The only issue I have, is that everyone says it's strong but I'm not finding this. I give it about 10 sprays and it still doesn't project for more than 15cm or last longer than a few hours. Luckily the 20ml oil is stronger than the 100ml spray. It has the great projection and silage that I was looking for. It has now become my everyday scent for when I’m feeling frivolous and just want to smell clean rather than making a statement. At around £10, it’s the cheapest fragrance in my favourites cabinet. It’s your throwaway ‘Pikovaya Dama’ alternative for when you just can’t bear to use your £330 Xerjoff bottle.
